Torre Serenissima

Verona, Italy

Torre Serenissima is an 11-storey office building serving as the headquarters for the Brescia Padova Motorway in Verona. Hosting an outdated VRV Air Conditioning System using R-22 refrigerant, it was time for the system to undergo a significant upgrade. Our goal was to find a replacement solution that could use the system's existing infrastructure for a quick and easy installation with minimal disruption.

Improved energy efficiency, in time for Monday morning

"Replacing the 17-year-old R-22 refrigerant system resulted in employees only missing a half day of work. The system's enhanced control improved the comfort of the building, while reducing the energy consumption up to 25%."

- Maurizio Casarola, Property Manager at Vitruvius Serenissima SGR

Full renovation, no disruption

Replacement technology

We chose to install Daikin VRV-Q, or replacement VRV, because this range uses existing pipework and wiring for a fast and easy upgrade. As Brescia Padova Motorway staff works a shorter day on Friday, the installer, Termosanitaria Pasinato, switched off the outdoor units that morning and collected the R-22 refrigerant. Once the office was empty, the team began removing and replacing the indoor units.

The following day, installers removed the existing outdoor units and replaced them with new VRV-Q units. The system was then commissioned and checked early on Monday morning before the office opened to avoid any disruptions.

Using the latest Daikin technologies, VRV-Q is a future-proof solution that delivers more energy efficiency and comfort. The system is also controlled by Daikin's Intelligent Touch Manager, which provides centralised energy monitoring of all zones and helps reduce running costs.
