Customized Climate Control For Music Theatre School
Together with Coastal Air Consulting and Consultmech engineers, we recently installed two 55kW rooftop package units at M&M Music Academy in Cape Town. We customized the units in order to compress the noise levels of the fan, while still maintaining the necessary size and functionality of the fan motors to meet airflow requirements.
The units are interfaced with a 3rd party controller, which senses the average room temperature and adjusts it accordingly. In order to utilize the ambient air for cooling in certain conditions, we added an economizer kit, which also optimizes electrical efficiency.
