Daikin South Africa proudly announce the launch of their new Charity Fund
Amid this global pandemic, Daikin South Africa recognises the severity of this crisis on the people, families, businesses and lives in South Africa. Now more than ever, we a s a country need to stick together and it for this reason, that Daikin South Africa aims to make a difference by founding the Daikin Charity Fund.
The fund will be the foundation of all projects in the future, where Daikin South Africa look to support and help causes in need.
It is only fitting that at this time, the first campaign of the fund is the COVID-19 Good Cause Campaign
“As the current crisis is not only affecting companies, but also people and since one of Daikin’s values is to act in a socially responsible way, we felt it was our obligation to investigate what we could do to support the people whom are affected” - Daikin South Africa, Managing Director, Koen Wynendaele
The COVID 19 Good Cause Campaign is aimed at supporting people in need within the Daikin South Africa network, as well as various Charities and Initiatives in the regions within South Africa, where Daikin have offices (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban).
In partnership with all Daikin South Africa’s Dealers and Partners, around half a million will be released and contributed as follows:
- Purchasing of food vouchers. The vouchers will be distributed to each of Daikin South Africa’s Dealers and Partners, for them to use towards their staff who are potentially less paid during this period.
- Monetary donations split across different Charities and Initiatives in the regions within South Africa, where Daikin have offices (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban).
