Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

This competition is run by Daikin South Africa (Pty) Ltd, hereafter referred to as “Daikin”.

2. Competition Period

Qualifying purchases must be made between 1 September 2026 and 31 March 2027, both dates inclusive (“the Competition Period”). Purchases made before or after the Competition Period will not qualify for entry.

3. How It Works

• Entrants must make a qualifying purchase of a Daikin product from an accredited Daikin dealer or authorised retailer during the Competition Period.
• Entries must be submitted on the official competition website at  (https://www.daikin.co.za/en_us/residential/campaigns/summer-competition2026.html), together with valid proof of purchase (e.g. a receipt, invoice, or till slip reflecting the date, dealer name, and product purchased).
• Entrants must complete all required fields on the entry form, including their full name, contact details, valid South African ID number and submit their proof of purchase (invoice).
• Daikin reserves the right to reject any entry where the proof of purchase is illegible, incomplete, fraudulent, or cannot be verified.

4. Prize Details

• One (1) winner will receive a bucket-list travel experience, valued at R200,000 (“the Prize”) for two people sharing. The experience will be part of an organised annual customer trip that occurs every year. You will not have the ability to decide on the details of the trip, only have the choice to join the existing trip (details to still be established).
• The Prize includes travel and accommodation arrangements as determined by Daikin and/or its appointed travel partner, and is subject to availability, applicable travel advisories, and the winner’s availability during the trip, which will take place between June 2028 and December 2028.
• Any costs not expressly included as part of the Prize (including but not limited to visas, travel insurance, spending money, additional excursions, meals not specified, and transport to and from the winner’s point of departure) are for the winner’s own account.
• The Prize is non-transferable, may not be exchanged, and is not redeemable for cash, in whole or in part.

5. Entry Mechanics

• Only one (1) entry per valid proof of purchase will be accepted. Multiple purchases made during the Competition Period may each be submitted as separate entries, OR one entry per Daikin unit purchased qualifies.
• The list of Daikin machinery that qualifies for an entry is found at the end of this page*. It includes residential split mid-wall air conditioners, and SkyAir air conditioner sets.
• A maximum of one (1) Prize may be awarded per valid South African ID during the full Competition Period.
• Incomplete entries, or entries submitted using invalid, duplicated, or unverifiable proof of purchase, will be disqualified, and will be manually auditted.

6. Eligibility

• Open to South African residents aged 18 and older with a valid South African ID.
• The competition is not open to:
  • Employees of Daikin South Africa.
  • Employees, owners, shareholders, or other persons who have a direct link to Daikin’s customers or suppliers.
  • Immediate family members of the above.

7. Winner Selection and Announcement

• The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period.
• The draw will take place within 10 working days after the close of the Competition Period on 31 March 2027.
•  The winner will be announced via:
  • Daikin South Africa’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • The Daikin Newsletter, sent to subscribers.
  • Direct communication with details submitted on entry.

8. Prize Redemption

• The winner will be contacted using the details provided at entry and must respond within 30 days to confirm acceptance of the Prize.

  Should the winner not respond within the stipulated period, or be unable to provide valid proof of eligibility, Daikin reserves the right to forfeit the Prize and select an alternative winner.

  Travel dates and arrangements must be agreed between the winner and Daikin’s appointed travel partner, and are subject to availability.

9. General

• Daikin reserves the right to verify the identity, eligibility, and proof of purchase of entrants and winners.
• The Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
• Daikin reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
• By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
