Supply Center Operations is part of the division Supply Center which is accountable for the co-ordination between supply and demand of the market. The team is responsible for the distribution of our products within the EMEA region, in such manner that our customer satisfaction meets the highest standard.
As Supply Planning Officer, you will be a member of the Supply Centre team that co-ordinates supply and demand for the distribution of finished air-conditioning and heating equipment.
On the basis of sales forecasts and previously-achieved sales figures from the distributors, the production units in Ostend, Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey and Asia will be guided about production quantities, taking account of stock control and lead times. In this way, production can be efficiently planned and we can provide guaranteed optimum delivery schedules towards the market.
Supply Planning Officer is a pivotal function in Daikin Europe, providing support to the distributors that commercialise Daikin products in various countries. You will manage the supply of the finished products to various European locations and you will adapt production and purchasing according to the demands of the distributors.
In short, you will ensure that the right equipment is in the right place at the right time.
In case of stock shortage, through discussion with suppliers and distributors, you will determine what solutions are possible and which deliveries will be prioritised and guarantee customer satisfaction. Your efforts will have a major impact on stock control and availability.
In addition, you will control to what extent distributors’ sales quantities correspond with their sales forecasts. At last you will participate actively and make efficiency improvements for your dedicated process/task.
As an economist or commercial engineer, you have a passion for Supply Chain Management. A couple of years of experience in a similar or commercial function would be a plus-point but is not essential. You are a very communicative and diplomatic negotiator. You speak and write fluent English, any other European language is an asset. You are stress-resistant, have an analytical mind and you’re numerically strong. You have a certain affinity with Daikin air-conditioning products and you are willing to make occasional short trips abroad. You have good to excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
