- Managing the overall day to day operations and sales target of Nigeria and West Africa in line with powers delegated by Africa Sales Manager.
- Reporting to Africa Sales Manager with periodic reports.
- Responsible for sales activities in assigned branch and ensure the achievement of regions sales target by branch.
- Set sales team goals and targets.
- Develop strong relationships with target customers including dealers, contractors, MEP contractors, consultants and developers within territory and uphold the image and reputation of Daikin.
- Contribute to increase market share in the assigned territory..
- Engage with key customers and work together with Sales personnel and distributers to ensure to success of sales lead.
- Identify and follow-up new business opportunities.
STRATEGIC AND CREATIVITY:
- Analyze and read customer needs, competitor moves and market trends and draw the right short term/tactical but also strategic and long term conclusions for the assigned territory.
- Develop sales strategy for assigned territory.
- Identify good deals; evaluate new product ideas and right timing for them.
- Maintain and build up relationships and networks with the relevant decision makers beyond direct customers.
- Prepare and submit annual budget and business plans in order to achieve Daikin’s mission.
- Contribute to the leadership and business strategy.
- Further develop and establish the Daikin brand and strategically plan your approach to further develop an innovative product portfolio as well as Sales network and win market share.
- Understand Daikin’s philosophy and adopt to assigned market.
- Ensure Daikin profits are protected and enhanced through evaluating the financial aspects of the business.
- Responsible for reporting, budgeting, follow up, budget reviews towards Daikin head office.

- Build, select, lead, manage, develop and motivate a healthy strong team.
- Develop, support and regularly monitor review of sales team performance in the assigned territory.

- Make sure structures are in place to guarantee operations are run in a safe and controlled way (in accordance to law and internal group rules).
