Upgraded VRVII-M9 with increased COP
Daikin Europe NV (25/07/2005)
Continuing development of state of the art Daikin VRVII technology is reflected in new R-410A cooling only and heat pump versions.
The new cooling only system (RXQ-M9) is available in 5, 8 and 10HP sizes with capacities of 14, 22.4 and 28kW respectively and COPs at full load of between 3.59 and 3.70. Like the earlier model, the new heat pump version (RXYQ-M9) is available in 22 sizes between 5 and 48HP with capacities between 14.0 and 135.0kW (cooling) and 16.0 and 150.0kW (heating). COPs at full load vary from 3.0 to 4.08, depending on model and operating mode.
Both versions make use of proven VRVII technology and user friendly characteristics but with additional and important new features. Notable among these is use of the latest Daikin high efficiency DC reluctance, inverter controlled ‘G’ type scroll compressor, which reduces friction losses and refrigerant leaks by means of a new high thrust mechanism. The resultant drop in thrust is reflected in a 4% improvement in efficiency and lower operating noise. Enhanced scroll performance is achieved by virtue of high precision scrolling and improvements to the outline of the volute.
Furthermore, replacement of the earlier positive displacement pump by the innovative method of supplying oil to the scroll sliding surfaces by differential pressure, results in better lubrication and greater unit reliability.
Easier installation results from removing the need for oil equalising piping on installations of 2 or more modules. This reduces field piping time and piping insulation. In addition, air tightness/evacuation tests are reduced (from 3 to 2) as well as stop valve components needed for test purposes. Oil equalisation piping is replaced by level regulation of the refrigerant oil whereby the % of oil in the refrigerant varies with the oil level of the compressor.
Existing VRVII easy installation characteristics adopted for the new versions include the use of simple 2 wire non shielded transmission linking condensing unit(s) to multiple indoor units via a single 2 core wire. Also, retention of the Daikin ‘Super wiring’ technique makes it easy to retrofit the system for remote control simply by connecting it to the outdoor condensing units.
Environmental consciousness continues to be emphasised by the use of
R-410A refrigerant and lead free soldered PCBs, whilst the built in refrigerant recovery function enables expansion valves to be opened to allow refrigerant to be drained from the piping circuit.
Both versions are supported by a full range of indoor units comprising 2 and 4 way blow ceiling cassettes, special 600 x 600mm low noise multi flow cassettes, ceiling mounted corner, built in ducted, ceiling suspended, wall mounted, floor standing, flexi type and concealed floor standing models.
Compatible with the complete Daikin suite of advanced air conditioning monitoring and control systems (Intelligent Controller, Intelligent Manager, BACnet Gateway and LONWorks Compatible Gateway), the new VRVII-M9 offers high energy saving, precisely controlled and monitored air conditioning solutions for medium to large sized commercial building projects.
We offer you a wide range of air conditioning solutions.
