Daikin UX-1 high COP Split range extended for Multi application with introduction of a new 5kW CTXG50.
Daikin Europe N.V. has extended its range of R-410A UX-1 heat pump splits with introduction of a new 5kW CTXG50 wall mounted indoor unit for ‘Multi’ application only.
The new unit complements the existing FTXG class 25 and class 35 models, which have now been upgraded for ‘Multi’ application whilst remaining available for ‘matched pair’ usage. CTXG50 also features an improved flap opening arrangement plus a new front panel design in stylish white and silver finish perpetuating the visually attractive and slim 150mm deep appearance of the existing units.
Sound pressure levels for CTXG50 vary between 32 and 47dBA, which compares favourably with the sound levels of the existing ‘pair’ units. Also, the integration of advanced Daikin technology in the new ‘Multi’ splits results in high energy efficiency levels with 4.15 COP and 4.03 EER ratings.
Draught free operation throughout the range results from the use of a wide-angle air distribution flap, features vertical and horizontal auto swing. This prevents cool air from blowing directly onto room occupants whilst also allowing warm air to descend gently to foot level where it can spread evenly across the floor before rising upwards.
Optimum air quality is ensured by the provision of a new long lasting titanium apatite photo catalytic deodorising filter, which decomposes everyday odours and bacteria and also removes house dust and pollen etc. This feature is especially important in light of EU Commission findings indicating that air pollution inside the home and offices can be double that of the level outside. All the usual Daikin refinements are also incorporated, such as movement sensor, silent operating mode, 24 hour on/off timer ‘home leave’ function and dehumidification cycle etc.

UX-1 Type outdoor units continue to feature the Daikin reluctance DC inverter driven swing compressor, super efficient heat exchanger and high performance DC motor driven fan, providing an enviable combination of remarkably high efficiency levels and low noise ratings.
