Our new RMXS R-410A Super Multi Plus can operate 9 indoor units off one single outdoor unit. Ideal for multiple room applications for your home and for small offices and hotels. It excels in energy efficiency and silent operation.
Daikin Europe NV has introduced an R-410A refrigerant version of its Super Multi Plus air conditioning system. Designated RMXS and available in 4, 5 and 6hp models, the system can operate between 6 and 9 indoor fan coil units off a single outdoor condensing unit. Ideal for use in residential premises, small offices and hotels etc, it combines low operating noise with rapid start up, high efficiency and low power consumption. Benefits stemming directly from the use of high pressure R-410A refrigerant include an increased maximum piping length of 145m (6hp model) and a lower refrigerant charge.
The new system is able to operate a wide range of modern and visually appealing indoor units – including a new stylish wall mounted unit – encompassing wall and floor mounted, ceiling concealed ducted and ‘flexi’ ceiling suspended/low wall types. Nominal capacities range from 11.2kW (4hp) to16kW (6hp) with COPs from 3.10 to 3.35. Operating range is between – 50C to 460C (cooling) and –150C to 200C (heating). Sound pressure levels vary between 53dBA and 55dBA depending on model size.
The heart of the system is the tried and tested Daikin reluctance dc scroll compressor, which offers increased efficiency, reduced superheated losses, low vibration, low noise and even bearing lubrication at low speed rotation. Also, high volumetric efficiency is achieved since the suction gases are not required to cool the compressor motor. The inverter driven reluctance dc motor ensures substantial energy savings in combination with high torque and minimal electric power consumption. Maximum motor efficiency results from the generation of powerful forces from small electric currents by the simultaneous use of two different forms of torque.
RMXS Super Multi Plus also benefits from the application of “multi input and output” control (MIO) – an innovative method of simultaneously outputting multiple signals based on multiple items of input information. This enables the air conditioning system to respond quickly to variations in room temperature and maintain a comfortable indoor environment. Multiple control in this manner results in improved heating performance and significant energy savings.
Additional control of the compressor is provided by Daikin “pulse amplitude modulation” (PAM), which ensures full use of power and controls motor voltage, even under high load conditions, resulting in high rotation speed. Also, the lower switching frequency reduces noise and switching losses.
Attention has also been paid to installation requirements and the inclusion of branch provider (BP) units cuts down substantially on the amount of piping associated with contemporary multi split systems. The use of BPs of course, is a key factor in enabling the system to operate as many as 9 indoor units simultaneously, each BP varying refrigerant volume precisely according to the cooling/heating needs of individual rooms or areas.
Optional accessories include on/off controller with adapter pcb, central remote controller, schedule timer, interface adapter for indoor unit etc.
