Constant improvement at Daikin Italy

In order to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, Daikin Italy is continually engaged in a policy of constant improvement of its services as well as its in-house management.
Customer satisfaction main priority
Using a “Quality Management System” or QMS, Daikin manages each activity according to established rules. Thus for Daikin, quality is a philosophy, a modus operandi that involves each activity. This methodological approach allows each step to be planned and accurate schedules to be drawn up.
ISO 9001 quality certification
On 21 March 2005, in line with the worldwide Daikin organisation, Daikin Italy was awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by Lloyd’s Register, an independent certification concern. Making this result even more remarkable was the fact that this target was achieved in only 10 months for each of the individual Italian sites: Daikin Milan, Daikin Genoa, and Daikin Rome including the Daikin Service Centre.
ISO 14001 environmental certification
Daikin also achieved another challenging target: the implementation of an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System. Daikin is proud to play a leading role in environmental management. Care for the environment is a main characteristic in our advanced corporate management system and a feature that distinguishes us from our competitors.
ISO 14001 certification includes the following:
- Environmental analysis concerning the effect Daikin’s activities have on the environment
- The involvement of Daikin Italy management and all employees in defining the environmental policy, targets and the related action plans
- Drafting procedures illustrating the activities to be undertaken to limit as much as possible the environmental impact of Daikin’s activities
Daikin Italy is among the first Italian air conditioning companies to obtain these major awards. The project’s success was strongly linked to support by all employees and suppliers. Environmental protection, often experienced as a drawback, has thus proven to be an opportunity for development. Daikin Italy is eager to continue to exploit the possibilities inherent in ISO certification.
