ISO certification for Daikin Poland

Daikin Poland is leading the way in quality and environmental management and obtains ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
On 3 March 2005, in a ceremony held in the prestigious Business Centre Club in Warsaw, Daikin Airconditioning Poland was awarded ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates by the independent certification organisation Lloyds Register. The event was attended by important guests and friends of the company including key accounts, customers, representatives from Warsaw Technical University, the Ministry of Environment and the Daikin Poland staff. Daikin Airconditioning Poland is now among the first four European sales companies having achieved the ISO14001 certificate. Considering the fact that the two ISO certificates have been achieved in a relatively short period of time, shows the determination of the total ‘Team of the management & staff’ of DAPO to prioritize these two goals in FY04-05.

Obtaining these certificates confirms Daikin Poland’s leading position in the Polish market and is a measure of Daikin Poland’s commitment to continued improvement in internal documentation and procedures related to quality and environmental management, meaning optimum services to customers and effective control of the burden placed on the environment by its activities.
The ISO standards

Giving shape to the enlarged EU
The 14001 certificate in particular underlines Daikin Poland’s role in shaping emerging Polish environmental policy and law in line with EU regulations. Daikin Poland is very active in lobbying the Ministry of Environment regarding the form given to national regulations in the area of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and fluorinated gases. Here Daikin Poland is able to rely on the efforts made by the Daikin worldwide organisation, which has long been a leader in its commitment to quality and the environment.
