Special Mention for inverter Mini-Chiller and Daikin France: Interclima Innovation Awards
Spotlight on innovation
Awarding the significant steps that constitute progress in industry, that is the objective of the Interclima Innovation Awards. On 17 January 2006, the opening night of this year’s Interclima + Elec trade fair held in Paris, Daikin Airconditioning France was awarded an honourable mention for the Daikin inverter Mini-Chiller. The Innovation Awards – now in their 11th edition – cover five categories in various sectors and reflect breakthroughs in a number of areas: performance, new techniques, resolving long-standing problems, meeting new demands, advances with respect to efficiency, design and safety … Winners enjoy a higher profile before, during and after the show, as well as increased market opportunities.
Chiller technology for the residential market
Daikin France won a Special Mention for the residential products and solutions category. The product was Daikin’s new inverter mini-chiller. The jury of experts from all areas of the sector was particularly impressed with the unit’s inverter control – which improves efficiency while maximising performance –, its optimisation for operation with R-410A refrigerant and its numerous control options. It also noted the mini’s silent operation and its exceptional ease of installation thanks to an integrated hydraulic module.
The mini brings the benefits of chiller technology to the residential market. Applications include domestic heating and cooling applications using fan control units or floor elements, wine cellar cooling, heating swimming pools …. The inverter mini-chiller comes in two versions (cooling only and reversible) and three models (5 kW, 6 kW and 7.1 kW).
