Training in Daikin Italy
Daikin Europe NV (05/07/2005)
Training keeps Daikin Italy ahead of the competition. Daikin Italy is focusing on the professional development of its installers and technicians with a programme that encourages gradual and continuous learning.
The strategic importance of trainingThe exponential growth undergone by the air conditioning market in recent years has led to greater competition from new operators. In addition, the ever-increasing complexity of air conditioning systems requires higher degrees of specialisation and continuous learning.
Within this competitive and challenging environment, the knowledge and skills of installers and technicians are decisive factors in providing customers with the highest possible quality air conditioning systems and in distinguishing Daikin from its competitors.
Creative approach to learning
To address this important need for technical training, Daikin Italy is focusing on the professional development of its installers and technicians with a programme that encourages gradual and continuous learning.
Through its Rome and Genoa training centres, Daikin Italy’s offerings range from a basic course for wholesalers, theoretical training for residential, commercial, VRV and chiller units, to special BMS courses for air conditioning management in large buildings.
One of the most creative aspects of Daikin Italy's latest training efforts concerns practical training. Installers and trainers have hands-on access to multi-split installations and—unique in Italy—the facilities and programmes necessary to perfect pipe brazing skills.
Enlarged and renovated training facilities
To accommodate this ambitious programme, Daikin Italy recently renovated and enlarged its Genoa Training Centre into a 2,000-m² facility for practical and theoretical courses.
There are three training rooms suited to theoretical training, two for practical lessons and two rooms equipped with test equipment. There is a workshop dedicated to hands-on experience with multi-split systems and another workshop dedicated to brazing. The facilities allow an optimum combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Continuing support
Each year 3,500 technicians receive 2,000 hours of training from qualified Daikin instructors. Technical support by the Training Centre, however, does not end with the courses. Continuing assistance is provided to installers and technicians via a helpdesk and on-site support.
The best technology on the market and the technical expertise to back it up: an unbeatable combination that adds up to a competitive advantage for Daikin Italy and affiliated installers in an increasingly competitive market.
