Daikin Europe N.V. is proud to announce that its Daikin Emura designer room air conditioner has been awarded a 2010 iF Product Design Award.
Daikin Europe N.V. is proud to announce that its Daikin Emura designer room air conditioner has been awarded a 2010 iF Product Design Award. Now in its 56th year, the iF Product Design Award is one of the oldest and best-known design competitions. From a total of 2,486 product entries in 2010, an international jury of experts bestowed the award to 778 products in 16 categories from 39 countries. Daikin Emura was submitted in the “Buildings” competition category. The products were evaluated on a range of criteria including design quality, workmanship, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental friendliness, functionality, ergonomics and safety.

Itself the result of competitive design proposals, Daikin Emura is an all-in-one room comfort system that packages energy efficiency and user-friendly operation in an elegant design that blends harmoniously with any interior. It is available in a brushed aluminium or white plastic finish, and includes a designer remote controller.
Beneath the subtle yet sleek design lies advanced Daikin technology: a residential split heat-pump system that heats, cools, ventilates and dehumidifies, with advanced features such as an intelligent eye that optimises system performance and comfort to room occupation levels. Prestigious award for the life of the product
Winners of the iF Design Award receive the iF seal of excellence for the entire lifecycle of the product. All 2010 awards will be announced at the iF Product Design Awards ceremony that takes place on the 2nd of March 2010 in Hannover, Germany. From this day, all award winning products will be on display at the iF Exhibition that runs in the Hannover Exhibition Center until August, and they will also be permanently included in the iF website www.ifdesign.de. All prizewinning products will also be included the 2010 iF Product Design Award Yearbook (Birkhäuser Verlag, Switzerland).
