Buildings need ventilation, all year round. However, in traditional ventilation systems, conditioned air from the building is simply expelled, then new unheated air is brought into the building. So a large volume of air is heated up or cooled down unnecessarily, leading to a substantial waste of energy. Daikin’s stand-alone ventilation solutions prevent energy being wasted by recovering waste heat from the outgoing air, thus offering much greater levels of efficiency, while improving comfort levels too.
Stand-alone ventilation solution
A Daikin stand-alone ventilation solution is ideal if you only need ventilation, or want to add ventilation to an existing heating and cooling system. This solution offers:
- A comfortable and fresh indoor environment
- Free cooling
- Low sound level
- Wide range of air flow rates
Energy saving heat recovery
Daikin stand alone ventilation systems offer energy efficient heat recovery as standard. This means that heat is extracted from stale air and used to automatically balance the outside and inside temperature and humidity. This maximises energy efficiency, while helping to maintain a consistently comfortable room temperature.
Ventilation with air conditioning
Daikin ventilation systems can be used as a standalone solution or in combination with Daikin’s air conditioning systems, automatically switching over from air conditioning to ventilation mode when required.
- Daikin Heat Reclaim Ventilation (HRV) recovers heat energy lost through ventilation, thus reducing the load on the air conditioning system by 31%.
Operation automatically switches between air conditioning and ventilation, depending on the prevailing conditions.
Free cooling switches off the air conditioning and introduces fresh outdoor air into buildings, to cool the building almost for free.
Night time free cooling ventilates rooms, so the cooling load is reduced in the morning, thus cutting running costs.
